Dan is a seasoned executive with decades of leadership experience as the CEO/COO of numerous high growth companies and hands on coaching experience with over 150 C level executives. Dan recently retired as the CEO of Eleven Software, a Portland based company that delivers a cloud-based software platform for managing the online experience in hotels, cruise ships, hospitals, and other verticals. Prior to Eleven, Dan was the COO of Building Champions, a business and life coaching company serving over 600 leaders/year in a variety of industries. Dan managed their day-to-day business and helped build the Executive Coaching practice with a specific focus on strategic planning and leadership development for senior executives.

From GM to CEO roles, Dan has managed a wide variety of senior management teams through high growth or consolidation and prides himself in helping companies make the jump from 50 to well over 1,000 employees and from ten to hundreds of millions in revenue. Over 100 of Dan's previous direct reports are now senior executives themselves at the CEO, VP and Director level.

Dan’s specific experience includes time with Clorox where he helped launch KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce and he worked with a string of private and public software companies to help establish such brands as Harvard Graphics, Calera OCR Software, PC Tools and Now Software. Most notably, he was the Webtrends COO during the company’s IPO and high growth years and remained as GM for the Web Analytics Business Unit after its acquisition by NetIQ ($1B acquisition value when signed in early 2001).

Dan graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics with Honors and later received his Master of Management degree in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Over the years, Dan has served on a variety of Boards and continues to develop strategic planning curriculum and facilitate leadership retreats. He has a heartfelt desire to help executives become more successful and significant within the organizations and communities they serve through more intentional life planning and leadership development.
